CEO, Joslin Mar-Dai credits her inspiration from being born in the 70's in California to two young, college grads with fresh ideas about nature and vegetarianism. Although, being reared in Shreveport, Louisiana thrust her away from her healthy start; after the age of 30, she sought to return to the health conscious level her parents raised her with. The first step was returning her hair to it's natural state. In the South, there are limited resources for natural hair, and she found herself becoming an avid YouTube subscriber and online shopper. After several years, she felt that she was withholding secrets from so many people in her small town, and decided to be the avenue to provide them with the same products she used that were being shipped from places like Jamaica, Africa and New York.
Since then, Definitely Natural has expanded to provide hair and beauty products, as well as healthy living techniques related to food and relaxation. Mar-Dai listened closely to the voice of God, and made this a family affair, by recruiting her Army husband to become the local delivery driver & right-hand man, 10-age daughter to be an inventory specialist, mother to work in sales, and sister and brother-in-law to be financial planners and accountant!
